The Q & A Q: Can you explain the title Cover Dreams? A: "Cover" stands for the coversongs that I recorded and "Dreams" stands for my dreams that came true by recording that CD. Q: How did you think the title up? A: One day Pamela and I were talking about the title and she said something with cover, since those are cover songs. So I said that I definitely wanted to have the word "Dreams" in it, so I just added my word to hers and there it was: Cover Dreams. Q: How do you think the CD turned out? A: The CD turned out very good. I'm so impressed and amazed. When I hold that CD in my hand, it feels like holding my dreams in my hands. I'm really glad I did it and we both did a great job!! Q: Special moments you had recording your debut CD? A: Every beginning of a new song was a special
moment. But I have to say that actually every day in the recording studio was a special
moment. I was excited all the time. Q: Which songs do you like and why? A: My favorite of all songs is "hands" which is originally by Jewel. I think that song is the most emotional song of all that I recorded. I feel close to that song because it has also something religious in it, and that's what I am. Q: Are these songs done by singers you admire? Q: Why so many Jewel songs? A: I thought that her songs would be the best match to my voice. Also my dad always listened to me singing her songs. Although he didn't take voice lessons he just gave me some advice how to sing the songs more emotional....well, I tried hard. Q: Why these particular cover songs? I just liked them. I was looking for songs that would be a good match for my voice and I think I did a good job on them. Q: How did you approach each song? A: Pamela had so many ideas of what we could add to make each song sound even better. I mean those ideas were really great and what I like the best are the parts with the harmonies. It sound really good!! Q: What was it like recording in Q: So what was it like working with Pamela? A: It was really fun working with her. I like her so much and I'm sure I'm gonna miss her in Germany. She is really cool and I hope I get the chance to see her again. She always encouraged me to do something with music. And now after working with her I'm more confident than I was before!! Q: What was it like coming to America from Germany? A: Well, I've never been to America before and
people were always saying how big and independent the USA were and that your dreams come
true in that country. It was a country with unlimited possibilites. Everything is so
different. I knew that I wanted to do that CD in the USA and when the chance came, I was
totally excited. Q: Tell us a little about your trip to Hollywood? That trip was awesome. I'm so glad that Pamela went with me. She called that trip the Thelma & Louise Tour. From the first day of the trip, she was Thelma and I was Louise. We had a great time walking up and down the Walk of Fame, cruising through L.A. with the windows open and the music on high volume, or even walking up Hollywood Hill. That was funny! I was really glad that we got to do that together!! Q: What are your plans for the future? A: My plans are to send the cd's to agencies and try to get a band together. I think that would be great, to sing in a band. I was thinking of No Doubt. When I try to imagine me singing in the future, then I picture No Doubt as an example.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? A: That's hard to say. I never try to imagine what I'm gonna do in 5 years. I can only say that I'm gonna try to make things happen. But there are a lot of things that can happen inbetween..... Q: Are you coming back to the United States to record again? A: That is a question about the future again. I don't really wanna think about the future. When I feel like coming back, I'll be back. Beware of me!! I can't really tell right now. What I know is that things are gonna be different when I'm back in Germany. Maybe I will have to come back
